Do I need to have a special license?
No! However, drivers must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.
** A license to drive a boat is not required by the state of Georgia but we do recommend some form of boating safety education for those novice boaters and experienced boaters who want a refresher.
Several free boating saftey courses can be found online similar to www.boatus.org/onlinecourse/Georgia.asp These websites will provide you with the basic safety tips to make your day on the lake an enjoyable one.
I've never driven a boat or personal watercraft before. Will you teach me?
Yes! We require everyone who rents or drives our rental craft to participate in a "Driver's Orientation" where we go over detailed operating procedures, Georgia boating laws and regulations. We also teach you how to locate and understand navigational markers, as well as boater's safety and etiquette.
How difficult is it to drive or anchor a boat?
With our instructions, it will be easy.
Will I get lost on Lake Lanier?
We provide you with a lake map and give you detailed instructions on how to use it.
How many people can fit on each boat?
This depends on the size and type of boat. Click on the "Rental Boats" tab to view the details of each boat.
Will you provide a captain to drive our boat?
Sorry, this is not a service we offer at this time.
Can we bring alcoholic beverages on the boat?
Yes. However, you must have a designated driver at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license. Remember, BUI laws are the same on water as DUI laws are on land with the exception of the "no open container" law.
Do your boats have grills?
No! We do not allow grilling on our boats. There are, however, several day-use parks around the lake that are equipped with grills and picnic tables. We can point you in the right direction.

How much gas will a boat or personal watercraft use?
